Red Nose Day

The boys were up early on Friday morning excited for Red Nose Day at Isaac’s school. The idea is to dress funny for money, or in other words, save your school uniform for a day and donate the money for charity.

The Bossy King

At Christmas time in England, it is tradition for every class, in every school to perform a Nativity. This year Isaac was a cow. The title of Isaac's nativity was, "The Bossy King." I was a little skeptical at first as to what sort of blasphemy may be contained in this nativity. I was happy when I went to watch it and found everything to be on the up and up. The only thing that was a little dodgy was all of the children were barefoot. Isaac has informed me that they do PE barefoot. Interesting...

One of Isaac's teacher assistants is my good friend, Fiona. We serve together in the primary and have lots of common interests like quilting. This is Isaac and Fiona.

English Gangstas

"Dang, it feels good to be a gangsta"

(Actually, it was pirate day at Isaac's school. Pirates, gangstas, ninjas...there all about the same. Of course, Dionne does listen to a lot of rap music, hmmmm.)

A Sad Day...

...and a happy one as Isaac starts his Reception year at school. Sadness is a selfish emotion on our part, especially since Isaac is so excited to go to school, but we know this is closing a chapter of his childhood at home. Someone else will be helping him to learn and grow during the better part of his day.

Without Isaac, Dionne tells me that she is getting to know the real Luke. He is even more mischevious now that he has run of the house. And so, life goes on...
