Trip to Haworth and Brontë Country

On Saturday, we travelled to Haworth to visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum. We toured the museum, which was the Brontë family home from 1820 to 1861. Dionne enjoyed learning more about the world’s most famous literary family after reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë and Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë during the time of our move to England. We also walked through the church where their father, Patrick Brontë, served as a reverend and walked along the cobble-stone streets and tourist shops of what is now known as Brontë Village.

Before setting out on our trip, we told Isaac we were going to the Brontë house, so he immediately went and grabbed his brontosaurus to visit its family.

It was a beautiful day and I think the boys enjoyed walking through the village and viewing all the trinkets being sold. I know I enjoyed the view of the Pennine moors that could be seen through alley ways and on the hill top where the Brontë home rests.
